E-Bike Sizing Guide: Find Your Perfect Commuter Fit

Buying a commuter e-bike online from places like Amazon, bol.com, or otto.com can be confusing. Choosing the wrong size doesn't just mean a costly return—it can lead to back pain, sore wrists, and an uncomfortable ride. A bike that's too large is hard to control, and one that's too small feels cramped.

Happy rider with Lynxcle ebike

We created this expert tool to solve that problem. Instead of relying on confusing size charts, answer a few simple questions, and our system will find the perfect, comfortable, and safe fit for your specific body and riding style.

This is the most important measurement for a safe and comfortable fit. Do not use your pants size.

  1. Stand barefoot with your back against a wall.
  2. Place a large hardcover book (or clipboard) firmly up between your legs, simulating a bike saddle.
  3. Measure from the top edge of the book straight down to the floor.
  4. This is your Inseam. It ensures you have safe "Standover Height" at stops.

Why This E-Bike Finder Works

Generic size charts often fail because they only use your total height. Our finder is more accurate because it uses the two most important measurements for a commuter:

  • Your Inseam (Binnenbeenlengte): This determines your "Standover Height"—the most critical factor for safety. It ensures you can comfortably stand over your bike at a traffic light without injury.
  • Your Riding Priority: A commuter who prioritizes comfort and safety (being able to put feet down) needs a different fit than one who wants pure efficiency. Our tool accounts for this.
